A young woman who is unknowingly in possession of a legendary "cursed tape" takes a collection of old video tapes to a video store. She and the store owner re-awake its curse, which leads to the release of a raft of cinematic villains.

NYLA, a twenty-something girl struggling to deal with her estranged father’s recent passing gets tasked with the thing she hates the most – cleaning up her father’s mess. Left behind are a collection of VHStapes, and with them, the burden of returning them to “Blaster Video” – a video rental store dragged from the depths of 1995 into the modern age. Lowering down a darkened stairwell, Nyla takes a metaphorical trip back to the 90s, into Blaster Video, a time capsule to an era in which cover art and a catchy movie title were king. There, she meets KEVIN, the lowly and antiquated shopkeeper, a human encyclopedia of the towers of VHS history that line the walls of his store, and former friend of her father. Nyla discovers that returning the tapes not only allows her to close a chapter of her life away, but to help her understand not only how her father lived, but how he died. But amongst the returns lies an unknown tape, likely the last movie Nyla’s father watched before he died, a movie not even Kevin has heard of. The mystery, and the strong connection to her deceased father, are too much for the pair to resist. But, by putting in and watching the mysterious tape, Kevin andNyla unwittingly unleash a long-dormant curse, an evil magnetic-tape-entity that unleashes a series of classic cinematic villains plucked from the bowels of the B-movies themselves into the very shop itself.With no escape, Kevin and Nyla must team up to survive a comedy of horrors and battle against toxic nostalgia to not only save themselves, but to save...
